"Sorry about that." Even though Haru apologized, he couldn't stop laughing. "Whoa!!!" Romeo, surprised jumped from his seat and Haru laughed loudly. "Romeo, you're interested in the new guy?" Romeo was so distracted observing that he didn't notice when Haru sat down on the same table, he got scared when Haru called out to him. Some of the girls smiled at him, but he remained expressionless, just focusing on his job. Romeo sat down on one of the tables, he gazed at Alkaid for time to time, confirming that no one was causing him trouble. To help him forget, he quickly started working, serving the food for the God Eaters. Alkaid did not wanted to scare him, he knows that the kid said those words with good intentions, however, he can't forget how that man looked at him each time he said those praising words.Īlkaid shook his head, not wanting to continue remembering those memories. Romeo felt intimidated, he quickly apologized and promised that he wouldn't do it again. "In the future don't praise my good looks nor my eyes." Alkaid gaze was cold and lifeless, "I don't like it at all." Alkaid was disgusted everytime he heard Rikai talk about his smooth features, and about how beautiful his red eyes were.
Rikai always praised Alkaid and was obsessed with his features, his obsession grew stronger with the passing years, he was overwhelmed every time Alkaid grew up. "I knew it would look great on you." Romeo praised, "being handsome it's such a blessing."Īlkaid didn't feel comfortable hearing Romeo praising him, he hated when someone said something about his appearance, those words made him remember his horrible past. Alkaid didn't complain about it, he just put on the uniform. Romeo grinned and showed Alkaid around, then showed him a uniform telling him to wear it. "I'll be the replacement." Alkaid agreed. Helping for the time being doesn't sound too bad, besides, he wanted to repay their kindness. "I want you to help serving the food, the other helper got sick and we need a replacement."Īlkaid thought that the job would be more difficult, and serving food was something he didn't expect. At the moment there was only a girl working, she was having some trouble serving food to everyone by herself. They entered the cafeteria area, the place where all the God Eaters eat their food. "I have the perfect job for you, follow me." Romeo started walking and Alkaid followed him in silence. Julius left, leaving Alkaid alone with Romeo. Since Julius was busy, he decided to trust Romeo, leaving him the task of finding something Alkaid could do: while he reports to Rachel. "Don't worry, I'm not going to make him do something dangerous or difficult." Romeo smiled happily.
"What are you planning to do?" Julius asked, feeling suspicious. Romeo saw his determination, and told Julius to leave everything to him. He didn't care in what way, he just wanted to be helpful. However, Alkaid was stubborn, he wanted to repay them in some way. Julius did not ask Alkaid to do anything, saving people lifes is what a God Eater do so, receiving some kind of payment for saving a life doesn't seem fair to him. Alkaid was saved by the God Eaters, to repay their kindness, he decided to help them with anything they need.
